Lee Carey: I have sent three children through Shore Country Day, and I cannot imagine any school preparing them better for their high school experience. All three completed Shore's final ninth grade year. They had a chance to be leaders in the school, play varsity sports, and do advanced academic work. They never had to be a lowly freshman in a high school setting, and they were completely ready for a challenging tenth grade curriculum. One of my daughters loves art, and she took a full year, major course credit in advanced studio art in the ninth grade. My son is now out of college, and he still says Shore's ninth grade was his favorite year in school. They have two great overnight trips that build class unity, and the teachers are totally inspiring. My youngest is choosing her major in college because of material taught to her in her ninth grade history elective. I would recommend Shore to anyone with smart, creative, motivated children.
