slm: There are many other schools to consider before BU Academy. The school is very small and lack amenities. The academics are mostly strong, though limited until Junior year. The leadership at the school, in my opinion, is sub-optimal and not "parent-friendly". Before considering this school, talk to families who are curretnly enrolled here or families who have researched this school.

anonymous: BUA allows bright nd motivated students to take college courses at BU in junior year. In our family's experience, the leadrship administration is heavy-handed and very business-like in their approach to parents. At this school, you are dealing with a business that happens to be a school. Know this before entering into an agreement here. There are, in my opinion and research, many better options in the Boston area if you are looking for strong academics and parent-friendly leadership. What you read in their published literature and what you are assured by one staff member may not be the accepted practice. Be cautious.

JM: Our experience with this school was very negative. There are no consistent standards and the school is suffering from low teacher and staff retention. In my option, the leadership is weak.

Jeff: Not a very happy place, imo. Try Roxbury Latin, Commonwealth, Winsor a very small student community with strong academics and a solid reputation.
