Natalie Kramer: My went from pre-school to graduation at Rochambeau. The curriculum is the standard French program, which is good. In my opinion, the execution of it was often hit or miss (depended mostly on the individual teachers). The English program was not given much priority. In fact, when in 1997 I asked the State Board to step in, it turned out that the school was not in possession of a valid English curriculum, and was therefore out of compliance with the State requirements. Teachers can also be discriminatory towards non-French students. I was openly told that a student from a non-French family could not get good grades in economics. My son (not French) got 18/20 on his Baccalaureate exam (graded anonymously).
