DLR: We have been at this school for 5 years and I have done everything in my power to make sure my son can stay there. Class ratio is 12 to 2 this year, you can't get better than that, and the level of education is amazing. The kids don't memorize and regurgitate info, they know it and love it. They also know HOW they got the answers and WHERE to get the answers. They teach resources as well as material. Some complaints from other parents that the owner isn't willing to consider other peoples ideas, well...in my opinion, if their ideas are so great, where is their school? Judy has served the time in public school, she has the know how to make this school a success with the *support* of parents, nothing more. Classes are equivalent to AP classes in public school without all the homework. Teachers get the job done during school hours, so family time is just that. This school is rich in cultural arts and takes every opportunity to relate what the kids are learning to something outside of school. This isn't a school that can't afford paper, they go on four field trips per year, and travel overnight starting in the 4th grade. Teachers are loving, caring, happy and smart. Everything from academic programs to the school lunch is well thought out and stellar. This is a place where each child is celebrated for their differences and not molded into what the child "should be". They are free thinkers, allowed to express, encouraged to challenge, respectful, well behaved, trusted by the staff, children. I simply can not say enough about the quality of this school.
